O-shot

The O-Shot®

Some things change, but they don’t have to...

Could the O-Shot® be right for you?

Do you have any of these problems?

  • Urinary incontinence
  • Urinary urgency
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Diminished sexual desire
  • Decreased sexual arousal
  • Decreased orgasm intensity
  • Difficulty achieving orgasm

Many women experience some of these problems at some point in their life. These changes can often be helped with a hormone free treatment option.

What is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot® procedure begins with drawing a patient’s blood. Then, using an FDA approved PRP (platelet rich plasma) kit, platelets and plasma are separated from the red blood cells using a centrifuge. The PRP contains your own body’s platelets and growth factors. The growth factors stimulate new blood vessels and collagen production in the areas where it is injected. (PRP has many other health uses in other areas of medicine such as orthopedics.) With the O-Shot®, PRP is injected into areas that are most important for female sexual response and in areas that reduce urinary leakage. Before injection, these areas are numbed with a local anesthetic cream, and patients experience little or no discomfort during the procedure. Because the O-Shot is PRP from your own body it is a natural, non-chemical way to improve some of the age-related changes in a woman’s body. It is natural and hormone free.

After the O-Shot Most Women report:

  • Greater arousal/ sensitivity from clitoral
  • stimulation
  • More intense orgasm
  • achieving orgasm more easily
  • Increased sexual desire
  • Decreased pain during intercourse
  • Improved natural lubrication
  • Improvement in urinary leakage
  • Improvement in urinary urgency
  • No down time

Women are living more vigorous lives to older ages. Many couples would like to continue a natural and normal sexual life together. A relationship with satisfying sexual function may have general health benefits other than just being pleasurable.

Many women experience changes related to menopause, perimenopause, hysterectomy, breast cancer, endometriosis treatments, breastfeeding, and postpartum. Though it is “normal” to experience these changes, these changes can be reversed. Changes can include: post/peri-menopausal vaginal atrophy, dryness, burning and pain with intercourse, mild urinary leakage or urgency. Some postmenopausal women have worsening of these problems even if they use an estrogen.

All exogenous estrogen and testosterone (taken as a medicine, not made by your body) can increase risks of blood clot, stroke and cardio-vascular events like heart attack. Estrogen and progesterone do raise the risk of breast cancer as well. Bio-identical estrogen and progesterone are available in numerous FDA approved formulations. Compounded bio-identical hormones are often sold as being “safer” but there is not any data that supports a safer estrogen, progesterone or testosterone.

The O-Shot® is a treatment that harnesses your body’s own natural ability to heal and restore itself. Improved vaginal health can restore a sense of youth and vitality.
